Squires Mill

Jonas Fay operated a mill on the Little Tonawanda. In addition to grinding feed and flour, he conducted a wood-working shop. Edwin Hyde became a later owner who in turn sold the business to George Squires. Mr Squires installed a circular saw but by now steam had replaced water as a source of power. About 1910 it ceased to operate as a mill and was sold to Henry Hebell who demolished the building.
